Hill and Dale Landscape designed this ADA user friendly Tahoe retreat for a family that had a member who was wheelchair bound. The goal was to create a welcoming entry and backyard that was usable to all. HDL was able to seamlessly incorporate ADA accessibility into the design of this homes front entry, bocce ball court, putting green, and fire pit patio.
Roughly 80-100 yards of soil was added to contour the front landscaping, replacing the spec homes plan that called for five front entry stairs. HDL was able to design a 1:12, built-in flagstone path rather than utilizing an unsightly concrete ramp.
In the backyard HDL constructed a bocce ball court with a gate for access, as well as a navigable fire pit, contoured miniature golf putting green, and in ground hot tub allowing this family to fully utilize their outdoor landscape.
